William (Bill) Gale Kearse
August 15, 1961 - October 12, 2016

William (Bill) Gale Kearse, 55 of Lancaster, Missouri passed away unexpectedly at his home in Lancaster, Missouri on Wednesday, October 12, 2016.

The son of Clarence William and Sarah (Sally) Colleen (VanHorn) Kearse, he was born on August 15, 1961 in Kirksville, Missouri. Bill was a 1979 graduate of the Schuyler R-I School System. Following his high school graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army in June 1979 and served his country for seven years receiving an honorable discharge.

Bill was united in marriage to Heike Neidhart in 1983 in Denmark and to this union two daughters were born, Michelle and Jessica.

Survivors include his daughters, Michelle Shabani and husband, Sela of Rodenbach, Germany and Jessica Sini and husband, Christian of Rodenbach, Germany; five grandchildren, Emira, Elina, Emilia and Malon Shabani and Leano Sini all of Rodenbach, Germany; his mother, Sally Kearse of Lancaster, Missouri; four sisters, Beverly Smyser and husband, Payton Murl (Sonny) Smyser of Lancaster, Missouri, Jeanie McLain and husband, Dan of Glenwood, Missouri, Mary Sue Tucker and husband, Tim of Queen City, Missouri and Janet Nichols of Austin, Texas; one brother, Ronnie Kearse and wife, Ann of Marshalltown, Iowa; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins; other family members and a host of friends.

His father, Clarence William Kearse on February 27, 2008 and one brother, Dennis William Kearse on April 29, 2014, precede Bill in death.

Bill attended the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting and his annual visits to Germany to see his children and grandchildren. Bill had a huge sense of humor and always saw the funny side. He was a fun loving person who will be sadly missed.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Sonny Smyser, Pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri officiating. Special CD musical selections will be "Go Rest High On That Mountain" and "How Great Thou Art". Pallbearers will be David Mark McGoldrick, Wayne McGoldrick, John Kearse, Cody Snider, Kevin Judd, Richard Bowling, Jake Kerby and Chris Smyser. Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Holden, Tom Nations and Wayne Carptrone. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 one hour before the funeral services, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for Schuyler County Nutrition Site. Burial will be in the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri with military rites conducted by Schuyler County American Legion Post 0784.
