Wanda L. Treece

Wanda L. Treece, 74 of Glenwood, Missouri passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012 at the Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, Missouri.
The daughter of Dale and Nina (Wagner) Spelbring, Wanda was born on August 23, 1937 in Newton, Illinois. Wanda was a graduate of the Carbondale High School in Carbondale, Illinois.
On August 28, 1955 in Hernando, Mississippi, Wanda was united in marriage to Herbert Treece and to this union 5 children were born, Wanda June, Mary Ann, Herb, Joseph Allen and a daughter who died in infancy.
Survivors include her husband, Herbert Treece of Glenwood, Missouri; her children, Wanda June Scott and husband, Mark of Creston, Illinois, Mary Ann Robinson and husband, Charles of Anamosa, Iowa, Herb Treece, Jr. of Glenwood, Missouri and Joseph Allen Treece and wife, Samantha of Kirksville, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, James Spelbring and wife, Janie of Pekin, Illinois and Ernest Spelbring and wife, Connie of Beecher City, Illinois; other family members and many friends.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter in infancy; 1 sister, Myrna Muir and 3 brothers, Chris Spelbring, Gene Spelbring and Jack Spelbring.
Wanda was a homemaker and loved gardening and canning. She loved spending time with her family and especially with the grandchildren. She provided homemade "goodies" and coffee for the hired hands at the Sycamore Speedway in Sycamore, Illinois. She loved crafts especially painting Christmas yard ornaments, which Herbert had assembled. She will be missed by all of her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Sonny Smyser, pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith officiating. Music will be special CD selections of "Hole In The Floor of Heaven" and "In The Garden". Pallbearers will be Michael Elshoff, Kevin Eggenburg, Travis Treece, Adam Treece, Jacob Treece, Jeremiah Treece and Trevor Robinson. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2012 between the hours of 6-8:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for the family. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery in Glenwood, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, Missouri.
