Virginia Ann Capps, 88 of Queen City, Missouri, formerly of rural Livonia, Missouri passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, Missouri where she had been a resident since July 2018.
The daughter of Elzia Dee and Nancy Ethel (Lawson) Hurley, she was born in rural Putnam County, Missouri. She was a graduate of the Livonia High School in Livonia, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Junior Leroy Capps on June 16, 1948 in Unionville, Missouri and to this union one son, Stanley came.
Virginia is survived by one son, Stanley Yunick and wife, Betty of Peoria, Arizona; one grandson, Stanley Gerald Van Horn and friend, Marc Goldman of Rochester, New York; one niece who Virginia thought of as a daughter, Nancy Premo and husband, Bill of Canandaigua, New York; five sisters-in-law, Mrs. James Hurley (Ruth) of Raymond, Iowa, Mrs. Donald Hurley (Frances) of Centerville, Iowa, Mrs. Glenn Hurley Mathes (Josephine) of rural Queen City, Missouri and Mrs. Bobbie Dee Hurley (Beverly) of Livonia, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews who called her "Nanny".
Virginia is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Geneva Veach; five brothers, James, Donald, Glenn, Bobbie Dee and Wayne in infancy and several nieces and nephews.
Virginia was a member of the Glenwood Assembly of God Church in Glenwood, Missouri. She was a factory worker for a number of years in Missouri and Illinois where she was a press operator.
Virginia loved county and western music and movies and she especially loved family gatherings.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Robin McCullar, Pastor of the Assembly of God Church in Glenwood, Missouri officiating. Music will be special CD selections of "Precious Memories" and "Jesus Paid It All". Pallbearers will be James Hurley, Richard Hurley, Joe Hurley, Larry Gates, Don Hurley and John D. Veach. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral services from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for the Hurley Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging on to normanfh.com. Burial will be in the Hurley Cemetery, southwest of Livonia, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, Missouri.
