Vera Jean Lyberger

Vera Jean Lyberger, 86, of Glenwood, Missouri passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, Missouri.
The daughter of Roy Charles and Cecil Pearl (VanDorin) Matherly, she was born on September 3, 1929 in Moravia, Iowa. On November 24, 1956 in Unionville, Iowa, she was united in marriage to Wayne Edward Lyberger.
Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Lasley of rural Glenwood, Missouri; 2 granddaughters, Angela Dyer of Glenwood, Missouri and Renee Novinger of Glenwood, Missouri; 7 great grandchildren, Russell Wayne Lee Lasley and wife, Taylor of Queen City, Missouri, Bobbi Jo Pruitt of Rockford, Illinois, Alexandria Eddlemon of Memphis, Tennessee, Randy Tippett of Kirksville, Missouri, Justin Tippett of Cabot, Arkansas, Ashley Novinger and Heather Novinger of Glenwood, Missouri; 7 great great grandchildren, Marleigh, Kingston and Noelle all of Rockford, Illinois, Madelyn Sapp, Theseus Lasley, Charlea Lasley and Ainsley Lasley all of Queen City, Missouri; 1 sister, Maxine Porter and husband, Jack of Fairfield, Iowa; 1 sister-in-law, Reta Allen of Kirksville, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; other family members and many good friends.
Vera is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wayne on May 13, 2010; 1 son-in-law, Russ Lasley; 1 grandson, Jason Lasley; 4 brothers-in-law, Joe Lyberger and wife, Velva of Ottumwa, Iowa, Warren Lyberger, Junior Allen and Richard Butler and 1 sister-in-law, Reba Camden and husband, John.
Vera was a member of the Bethel Community Church for a number of years.
Vera loved her family and taking care of her grandchildren. Vera loved working outside, doing yard work and taking care of the garden.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Pastor Ben Wheeler assisted by Pastor Sonny Smyser officiating. Music will be provided by Margie Tippett, pianist and Cole Tippett, soloist. Special musical selections will be "I'll Fly Away" and "Beyond The Sunset". Pallbearers will be Rick Lancial, Mark Jones, John Moore, Thad Jones, Ethan Jones, Jim Berry and John Bill Eason. Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck McCartney, Jack McCartney, Travis Boggs and Randy Tippett. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2016 between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for the family.
