Terry Lee Kelso

December 12, 1955- February 22, 2024

Terry Lee Kelso, 68 of rural Downing, Missouri passed away on his rural farm on Thursday, February 22, 2024.

The son of Kenneth Burton and Mary Marie (Partin) Kelso, he was born on December 12, 1955 in Kirksville, Missouri.  Following his graduation from Schuyler R-I High School, he began raising livestock at his current residence in rural Downing, Missouri.  He was united in marriage to Marlena Sue Harder on September 25, 1999 in Downing, Missouri.

Terry is survived by his wife, Marlena Kelso of Downing, Missouri; step children, Scott Thrasher and wife, Vera of Loveland, Ohio, Deric Thrasher of Quincy, Illinois and DeAnn O'Bryan and husband, Jeremy of Jacksonville, Missouri; 7 grandchildren, Nathan Thrasher, Vinnie Padella, Venancio and Victor DaSilva, Carson and Wyatt Thrasher and Cooper O'Bryan; siblings, Sheila Martin and husband, Fred of Lancaster, Missouri, John Kelso and wife, Cindy of Lancaster, Missouri, Rick Kelso and wife, Debbie of Downing, Missouri and Kevin Kelso of Greentop, Missouri; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends.

Terry is preceded by his parents, Kenneth Burton Kelso on December 28, 2004 and Mary Marie Partin Kelso on April 24, 1998; one sister, Sina Kelso on October 27, 2008 and one brother, Randy Kelso on November 29, 2020.

Graveside services were held on Monday, February 26, at 11:00 a.m. at the Downing City Cemetery in Downing, Missouri with Sonny Smyser, Pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith officiating.  Memorials were established for the Schuyler County Nutrition Site.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging on to normanfh.com.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri
