September 25, 1983 – March 16, 2012

Stacey Gail Gooden, 28, of Lancaster, Missouri passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 due to the result of a single auto accident on Highway 136 in Putnam County, Missouri one mile east of Hartford, Missouri.

The daughter of Darrell Gene Gooden and Brenda Denise (Buckallew) Deichsel, Stacey was born on September 25, 1983 in Kirksville, Missouri.

Stacey is survived by her two children, Cason & Jessilene Barker of Lancaster, Missouri and their father, Kevin James Barker of Ft. Madison, Iowa; parents, Darrell and Debbie Gooden of Lancaster, Missouri and Brenda and Juergen Deichsel of Wolfratshausen, Germany; 2 brothers; Derek Gooden and girl friend, Julie Behr of Lancaster, Missouri and Colton Gooden and fiancée, Stephanie Embry of Lancaster, Missouri; 1 stepbrother: Daniel Marcel Deichsel of Fuerth, Germany;
2 sisters: Stephanie Hubbartt and boy friend, Jeff Scott of Downing, Missouri & Madison Huffman of Wolfratshausen, Germany; 3 step sisters: Tanja Birnbaum of Schriesheim, Germany, Mindy Roberts of Lancaster, Missouri, & Melissa Huggins and husband, Warren of Des Moines, Iowa; grandparents: Juanita Gooden of Lancaster, Missouri, Harl & Linda Buckallew of Kirkville, Missouri and Ursula Deichsel of Ludwigshafen, Germany; great grandmother, Edna Lay of Lancaster, Missouri; aunts & uncles: Donna & Lisa Gooden of Lancaster, Missouri, Jeffrey Buckallew & wife, Brenda and their children, Elizabeth and fiancée, William Jockel & Erik of Omaha, Nebraska; Frank Deichsel and wife, Petra and their children, Patrick and Nikolas of Ludwigshafen, Germany; cousin, Mackensie Buckallew and fiancée, David Hillyer of Muscatine, Iowa; nieces and nephews, Alex Gooden of Des Moines, Iowa, Hailey Roberts of Lancaster, Missouri and Emily Birmbaum of Schriesheim, Germany; and a host of extended family and friends.

Stacey was preceded in death by her grandmother, Barbara Eileen (Webber) Buckallew in February 2003; grandfather, Donald Gene Gooden in October 2008 and an uncle, Alan Eugene Buckallew in April 1998.

Stacey was a graduate of the Schuyler County R-I High School with the class of 2002. She enjoyed spending time with her children and being outside on the farm. She was employed at the Home Depot in Kirksville, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Lancaster Christian Church in Lancaster, Missouri with Steve Altheide, pastor of the Lancaster Christian Church officiating. Music will be provided by Cole Tippett, soloist singing "Sissy's Song" and special CD selections of "Hallelujah" and "Song for Sophia". Pallbearers will be Chris Findling, Vance Frederick, Jeff Buckallew, Kevin Buckallew, Colby Buckallew, Kelly Buckallew and Spencer Shepherd. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri between the hours of 6-8:00 p.m. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date in the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri.
