Shirley Ann Hoffman, 84 of Kirksville, Missouri passed away Monday, October 21, 2019 at her daughter's home in Kirksville, Missouri.
The daughter of Lowell E. and Lois Adele (Kerby) Hoffman, she was born in Kirksville, Missouri on January 14, 1934. She was a 1953 graduate of the Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Missouri. In 1956, she graduated with a Nursing degree from the St. Joe Methodist Nursing School in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Survivors include her children, Evanne Bruner and husband, Larry of Olathe, Kansas, Homer Jay Jarvis of Phoenix, Arizona, John Nuno and wife, Karen of Sullivan, Missouri and Shawnna Wulff and husband, Jeff of Kirksville, Missouri; five grandchildren, Saffron Lasister and husband, Scott, Celia Simler and husband, Wes, Melissa Nuno, Eric Nuno and Tiffany Nuno; 7 great grandchildren; one brother, John Hoffmann and wife, Connie of Lancaster, Missouri; two sisters, Katherine Graves and husband, Ben of Kirksville, Missouri and Sharon McKay and husband, Tom of Keokuk, Iowa; other family members and many good friends.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents.
Shirley was a member of the Methodist faith and she attended the New Hope Methodist Church for many years where she was instrumental in organizing the choir, Easter Sunrise services and the children's programs.
Shirley was a Registered Nurse and began her career when she was 21 years old in 1956 and continued until she retired in 2010. She raised four tremendous children that she loved very much, as family was an important part of her life.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Sonny Smyser, Pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri officiating. Memorials have been established for the Germania Cemetery. A private family burial will be in the Germania Cemetery, south of Lancaster, Missouri.
