Sheri Jean (Lasley) Steen
July 26, 1945 – November 4, 2016
Sheri Jean (Lasley) Steen, 71 of Lancaster, Missouri passed away in Goose Creek, South Carolina on Friday, November 4, 2016.
The daughter of Joseph Edwin and Katherine Rachael (Gardine) Lasley, she was born on July 26, 1945 in Kirksville, Missouri. On November 27, 1964 in Queen City, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Ellis Keith Steen and to this union two children were born, Bryan and Robin.
Sheri is survived by her children, Bryan Steen and wife, Kristen of Charleston, South Carolina and Robin Swem of Goose Creek, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Micheal Swem of Bremerton, Washington, Joseph Steen of Charleston, South Carolina and Taylor Griffin of Goose Creek, South Carolina; mother-in-law, Fern Johnson of Queen City, Missouri; nieces and nephews; other family members and many good friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Keith on November 20, 2004 and her father-in-law, Jake Steen.
Sheri was a member of the Lancaster Christian Church in Lancaster, Missouri and was a 1963 graduate of the Schuyler R-I School System.
During Sheri's life, she had many jobs including homeworker, cosmetologist, telephone operator and various retail positions of which her favorite was retail jewelry sales and management. She also liked to travel and during her life set up house in Panama, Italy, Hawaii, California, South Carolina, Missouri and several other states.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Sonny Smyser, Pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith officiating. Special CD selections will be "How Great Thou Art" and "Amazing Grace". Memorials have been established for the Schuyler County Nutrition Site. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery in Glenwood, Missouri. Online condolences may be sent to the family by logging on to normanfh.com.
