Sheila R. Adkisson, 67 of Lancaster, Missouri passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020 at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.
The daughter of Joe and Betty Jean (Kassner) Bowman, she was born on August 23, 1952 in Butler, Missouri. Sheila was a graduate of Appleton City High School in Appleton City, Missouri and attended College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Missouri. On November 1, 1974 in Miami, Oklahoma, she was united in marriage to Glen Adkisson and to this union two daughters were born, Keely and Kinsey.
Sheila is survived by her husband, Glen Adkisson of Lancaster, Missouri; her two daughters, Keely Schoonover and husband, Steve of Queen City, Missouri and Kinsey Adkisson and significant other, Dustin Freeman of Kirksville, Missouri; six grandchildren, Selby Schoonover of Princeton, Missouri, Bailey Schoonover of Kirksville, Missouri, Lyndi March of Queen City, Missouri, Braden Miller, Selleck Adkisson and Archer Freeman all of Kirksville, Missouri; four sisters, Phyllis Seesengood and husband, Bruce of Joplin, Missouri, Sharon Taylor and husband, Garry of Jackson, Michigan, Judy Dains of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri and Susan Bowman of Springfield, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Julee Snyder and husband, Danny of Appleton City, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews; other family members and a host of good friends.
Sheila is preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Brody Schoonover and two brothers, Robert and Donald Bowman.
Sheila was a member of the Lancaster Christian Church in Lancaster, Missouri.
Sheila was employed with the Tri County Electric Cooperative in Lancaster, Missouri as a billing clerk and worked in that capacity for 31 years. Following her retirement, she was able to enjoy her children and grandchildren's activities as she was their number one fan!

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 12 noon at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Billy Wallace, Pastor of the Lancaster Christian Church in Lancaster, Missouri assisted by Sonny Smyser, Pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri. Music will be special CD selections of "Candle In The Wind", "Take My Hand, Precious Lord" and "Kathmandu". Pallbearers will be Charlie Parsons, Vance Frederick, Pat Gray, Ryan Bushnell, Jake McAllister and Joe Sebolt. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral services from 11:00 a.m. until 12 noon at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for the Schuyler County Rotary Club Scholarship or to the Schuyler County Cancer Relief Fund. Burial will be in the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri.
