Rosetta Mae Ayer

December 23, 1944 –September 18, 2025

Rosetta Mae Ayer, 80 of Concordia, Missouri, formerly of Downing, Missouri passed away at the Good Shepherd Care Community in Concordia, Missouri where she was a resident.

The daughter of Ira Alfred and Lois Wanetta (Locker) Ayer, she was born on December 23, 1944 in Downing, Missouri.

Survivors include her sisters, Roberta Irene Six of Grain Valley, Missouri, Alberta Hagers and husband, Roger of Kansas City, Missouri, Linda Lou Thompson of Grain Valley, Missouri and Mary Jane O'Dell and husband, Danny of Higginsville, Missouri; three nephews and two nieces and other family members.

Rosetta is preceded in death by her parents; one brother-in-law, Lloyd Six and aunts and uncles.

Rosetta lived for a number of years with her parents in Downing, Missouri.  She then moved to the Kansas City, Missouri area to be closer to her family and later became a resident in the Good Shepherd Care Community in Concordia, Missouri.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Downing City Cemetery in Downing, Missouri.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging on to normanfh.com.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, Missouri.
