Robert Eugene Beeler, 85 of Lancaster, Missouri passed away at the Twin Pines Adult Care Center in Kirksville, Missouri on Thursday, July 18, 2013.
The son of Malcolm Everett and Viola (Dellinger) Beeler, he was born on March 10, 1928 in Schuyler County, Missouri. On March 29, 1945 in Queen City, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Sarah Barnhart and to this union 4 children were born, Lynn, Rudy, Sue and Randy.
Robert is survived by his wife, Sarah of Lancaster, Missouri; his children, Rudy Beeler of Glenwood, Missouri, Lynn Beeler of Lancaster, Missouri, Sue Devenport and husband, Jerold of Moberly, Missouri and Randy Beeler of Nashville, Tennessee; 5 grandchildren, Tacy Meighan and husband, Robert of Helena, Alabama, Stephanie Lawson of Madison, Missouri, Colby Devenport and wife, Grace of Moberly, Missouri, Brandon Devenport of Moberly, Missouri, Emily Shelton and husband, Donald of Nashville, Tennessee; 6 great grandchildren, Blake and Gavin Meighan of Helena, Alabama, Sarah Lawson of Moberly, Missouri, Brody Asbury of Columbia, Missouri, Ella and Abby Shelton of Nashville, Tennessee; 2 brothers, Charles Beeler and wife, Marilee Beeler of Lancaster, Missouri and Lowell Beeler and wife Authrine of Lancaster, Missouri; 1 sister, Violet Smoot of Quincy, Illinois; sisters-in-law, Jean Beeler of California and Mary Beeler of Lancaster, Missouri; several nieces and nephews and many good friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents; 5 brothers, Tony, Loyal, Okley, Virgil and Homer Beeler and 1 sister, Jewell Roberts.
Robert was presently the pastor of the Greentop Baptist Church in Greentop, Missouri for approximately the past 10 years. He also had worked in plumbing and heating with his brother, Charles Beeler for a number of years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 22, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lancaster Baptist Church in Lancaster, Missouri with Dale Britt, pastor of the Kaseyville Baptist Church assisted by Lonnie Johnson, pastor of the Lancaster Baptist Church in Lancaster, Missouri officiating. Music will be provided by pianist, Donna Welte and soloist, Jim Brennan. Special musical selections will be "I'm A Child Of The King" and "Haven of Rest". Pallbearers will be Rudy Beeler, Randy Beeler, Colby Devenport, Brandon Devenport, Brody Asbury, Mike Barnhart and Arnold Compton. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri between the hours of 5-7:00 p.m. Memorials have been established for Jimtown Cemetery.
