Ransom Earl Allman, 72 of Lancaster, Missouri passed away on Friday, January 24, 2020 at the Manor Care in Kirksville, Missouri.
The son of Homer Tillman and Martha Rebecca (Pairs) Allman, he was born on August 1, 1947 in Etowah, Tennessee. He was united in marriage to Sally Ballinger and to this union, three sons were joined, Kendall, Rondall and Doug. On May 25, 1979, in Fairfield, Iowa, Ransom was united in marriage to Vicki Sue Love and to this union, Amy and Travis were joined.
Ransom is survived by his wife, Vicky Sue Allman of Memphis, Missouri; children, Kendall Allman of Kearns, Utah, Rondall Allman of Murray, Utah, Doug Hanks of Waverly, Iowa, Amy Shotten and husband, Jr. of Lancaster, Missouri and Travis Allman of Kirksville, Missouri; several grandchildren including Brandon Shotten of St. Joseph, Missouri and Tad Shotten of Sturgeon, Missouri; one sister, Mary Evelyn of Tennessee; one niece, Emily Newman of Michigan, other family members and many good friends.
Ransom is preceded in death by his parents and eleven brothers and sisters.
Ransom and his family lived in the Fairfield, Iowa area for a number of years before moving to Lancaster, Missouri to be near their daughter, Amy Shotten and husband, Jr. While in Fairfield, Iowa, Ransom worked in a Foundry as a forklift operator for a several years.
Ransom was a member of the Lancaster Baptist Church and attended as long as his health permitted.
Ransom's wishes were to be cremated and there will be no services at this time. Memorials have been established for the Halliburton Hills Home in Kirksville, Missouri where Ransom's son, Travis is a resident.
