Obituary

Randall Madison Ayer

February 27, 1957 - December 23, 2022

Randall Madison Ayer, 65 of rural Lancaster, Missouri passed away at his home on Friday, December 23, 2022.

The son of Earl Earnest and Leenorah Elizabeth (Ballenger) Ayer, he was born on February 27, 1957 in Kirksville, Missouri.  He was a graduate of the Schuyler R-I High School.   He was united in marriage to Sally Toney and to this union two children were born, Janson and Amanda.

Randall was a proud father, a loving papa, a loyal friend and the stranger you want to meet if you were having trouble.  He is frequently described as "one of the good ones" and he certainly was.  Randall will be forever remembered as the guy who would do anything for anyone and an "all in good fun" jokster!

Survivors include his children, Janson Ayer and wife, Heather of Maple Grove, Minnesota and Amanda Ayer of Lancaster, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Owen, Katelyn, Jake and Norie Ayer (Janson); Darian Mullin, Keisha, Taeson, J'Miyha and Kyellen Dysart (Amanda); one great grandchild, Lilian; nieces and nephews and many good friends.

Randall is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ritchie Ayer on February 24, 1967 and Robert Earl Ayer on December 20, 2011.

Randall was (the best) Schuyler R-I School bus driver for many years working for Toney Bus Company.   He developed a lasting friendship with many students, parents and school personnel over the years.  The past several years, he drove for Glenwood Elevator.  It would be difficult to say how many friends Randall made during 65 years, for there are many!
