Ola Fern Berry
April 21, 1924 – June 25, 2015
Ola Fern Berry, 91 of Kirksville, Missouri formerly of Lancaster, Missouri passed away at the Twin Pines Adult Care Center in Kirksville, Missouri on Thursday, June 25, 2015 where she had been a resident for approximately six years.
The daughter of Oliver and Ada Myrtle (Taylor) Overton, she was born on April 21, 1924 in Worthington, Missouri. Following her high school graduation, she attended and graduated from the Chillicothe Business College in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Ralph Harding Butler on October 19, 1942 and to this union two children were born, Jerome and Jana. On October 12, 1956 she was united in marriage to Wallace L. Berry and to this union one son, Jim was born.
Survivors include her children, Jana Lynn Lee and husband, Rex of Kirksville, Missouri and Jim Berry and wife, Gail of Glenwood, Missouri; 8 grandchildren, Jay Alan Butler and wife, Jing, Travis Lee and wife, Richelle, Justin Lee and wife, Niki, Jade Wright and husband, Mike, Codey Veatch and wife, Cait, Michael Moffitt and wife, Kim, Jacob Moffitt and Jordan Berry; several great grandchildren; other family members and many good friends.
Fern is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Ralph Harding Butler on March 3, 1955 and Wallace L. Berry on March 20, 1990; her son, Jerome Butler; 1 granddaughter, Jill Butler; 1 brother, Edward Overton and two sisters, Blanche Dierling and Mae Vincent.
Fern attended the United Methodist Church and later attended the Schuyler County Church of Faith both in Lancaster, Missouri. She also worked in various positions but her most rewarding position was with the Schuyler County Nutrition Site in Lancaster, Missouri. She was very dedicated to this position and cared for the people.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Sonny Smyser, Pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri officiating. Special CD musical selections of "How Great Thou Art" and "Softly and Tenderly" will be performed. Memorials have been established for the Schuyler County Nutrition Site or to Alzheimer's.
