Nona Ann (Blankenship) Bridgeman

April 5, 1958 – October 3, 2026

Nona Ann (Blankenship) Bridgeman, 68 of Kirksville, Missouri passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at the Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

The daughter of Orville and Lucille Aretha (Jackson) Blankenship, she was born on April 5, 1958 in Livonia, Missouri. She attended Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Missouri for twelve years. On November 13, 1976, she was united into marriage to Thomas A. Bridgeman and to this union three children were born, Misty, Travis and Thomas.

Nona is survived by her children, Misty Doran and husband, John of Kirksville, Missouri, Travis Bridgeman and wife, Crystal of Kirksville, Missouri and Thomas Bridgeman and significant other, Jessica of Moulton, Iowa; five grandchildren, Preston, Tanner and Madi Bridgeman, Camden Hook and Cadence Meeker; 2 great grandchildren; her faithful dog companion, Lucy; sisters, Ruth Ann Rogers of Charlotte, North Carolina and Linda Thomson of Hamilton, Missouri; nieces, nephews and many good friends.

Nona is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John Blankenship, Steve Blankenship, Sammy, Jackie and Junior Wayne Weaver; sisters, Mary Alice Farley and Rosemary Flynn.

Nona loved to listen to country music, watch Classic TV and her favorite was playing Bingo! She was a loving mother, grandmother and was known as “Granny” to many! She will certainly be missed dearly.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with John Burkholder, Pastor of the Lancaster Baptist Church officiating. Special musical selections of “Candle In The Wind” and “Achy Breaky Heart” will be performed. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for the family with checks made payable to Travis Bridgeman. Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging in to normanfh.com. Burial will be in the St. John’s Cemetery in Livonia, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, Missouri.
