Mona Roselee "Rosie" Farris
April 16, 1945 – May 27, 2015
Mona Roselee "Rosie" Farris, 70 of LaBelle, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the LaBelle Manor Care Center in LaBelle, Missouri.
The daughter of Kale Dwane and Dela LaVon (Lillard) Groseclose, she was born on April 16, 1945 in Galveston, Texas. On October 7, 1961 in Schuyler County, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Carl William Farris and to this union 5 children were born, Corenna, Carla, Carl, Colleen and Colette.
Survivors include her children, Carla Lockwood and husband, Phillip of Baring, Missouri, Colette Merrell and husband, Steve of Canton, Missouri, Corenna Jones and husband, Troy of Brookfield, Missouri, Colleen Klingsmith and husband, Cecil of Unionville, Missouri and Carl D. Farris and wife, Lorie of Downing, Missouri; 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Stephen Groseclose and wife, Anna of Lancaster, Missouri; nieces and nephews and other family members.
Mona is preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother, Ward Groseclose; 1 sister, Patricia Wheeler; 2 grandsons, Lyle William Lehr and Francis "Jim" Farris and 1 great grandson, Lathen Yoakum.
While living in the Lancaster area, Mona was a cook at the HiWay Inn Restaurant in Lancaster, Missouri. She also loved to do garden work, sewing, taking care of her family and helping her parents on the farm as much as possible.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Kenneth Rush assisted by Sonny Smyser. Special CD musical selections will be "Paper Rosie", "Fly" and "Something In The Water". Visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial services from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for the LaBelle Manor Care Center Activity Department. Burial will be at a later date as the body has been cremated.
