Mary Mae (Jacobs) Shively

Mary Mae (Jacobs) Shively, 82 of rural Coatsville, Missouri passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017 at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.
The daughter of Robert Glen and Erma Marguerite (Smith) Jacobs, she was born on March 6, 1934 in Centerville, Iowa. She attended and graduated from the Moulton Udell High School in Moulton, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Charles Thomas Shively on June 29, 1952 in Centerville, Iowa and to this union two children were born, Ina Mae and Glen.
Mary and her husband, Charles lived on their farm near Coatsville, Missouri most of their married life.
Mary was a member of the Coatsville Baptist Church in Coatsville, Missouri.
Mary is survived by her children, Ina Mae McNary and husband, Jimmy of Lancaster, Missouri and Glen Shively and wife, Jeanette of Coatsville, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Schoonover and husband, Kim, Jason McNary and wife, Melody, Jesse McNary and wife, Jennifer, Shirley Mae, April Dawn, Robert Glen Shively and significant other, Nicole Crump, Melinda Campbell and significant other, Tyler Tait and Michelle Freiburger and significant other, Jeff McGoldrick; thirteen great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; one brother, Donald Jacobs and wife, Darlene of Bloomfield, Iowa; two sisters, Erma Zugg and husband, Jack of Moulton, Iowa and Nancy McCoy and husband, Robert of Des Moines, Iowa; one sister-in-law, Mary Joyce Shively of Kirksville, Missouri; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles in July 2001 and one great great granddaughter, JayceLynn Meliah-grace Boer.
Mary was always a willing volunteer to help with the community dinners served by the Glenwood Community Hall in Glenwood, Missouri. She milked cows morning and night for many years, loved to garden, work in her flowers and loved her animals especially her dog "Rowdy".

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Terry Hunsaker, former pastor of the Coatsville Baptist Church in Coatsville, Missouri officiating. Music will be special CD selections of "In The Garden" and "I'll Fly Away". Pallbearers will be Robert Shively, Jesse McNary, Jason McNary, Kim Schoonover, Justus Frederick and Kaleb Schoonover. Honorary pallbearers will be James McNary and J. D. McNary. Visitation will be held at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri one hour prior to the funeral services from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 9, 2017. Memorials have been established for Coatsville Cemetery. Burial will be in the Coatsville Cemetery in Coatsville, Missouri.
