Mary Evelyn (Crumley) Hamblin

July 21, 1931 - March 27, 2019

Mary Evelyn (Crumley) Hamblin, 87 of Kirbyville, Missouri, formerly of Lancaster, Missouri passed away at her home in Kirbyville, Missouri on Wednesday, March 27, 2019.

The daughter of Kenneth P. and Sara S. (Davis) Crumley, she was born on July 21, 1931 in Astoria, Illinois.

On August 2, 1947 in Rushville, Illinois, she was united in marriage to Edward Eugene Hamblin, Jr. and to this union two daughters were born, Judy and Vicki.

Mr. and Mrs. Hamblin lived in Burlington, Iowa for over forty years where Mr. Hamblin was employed as a Security Guard at the Army Ammunitions plant for thirty-five years.  Following his retirement, the family moved to the Lancaster area in 1993.  Mr. Hamblin passed away on May 3, 1998.  Mary moved to Kirbyville, Missouri in 2013 to be near her daughter, Vicki and family.

Mrs. Hamblin was a member of the Lancaster Christian Church in Lancaster, Missouri where she attended faithfully until their move to Kirbyville, Missouri.

Mrs. Hamblin is survived by her daughter, Vicki Morton and husband, Russ of Kirbyville, Missouri; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Morton and wife, Kim of Kirksville, Missouri and Jennifer Fansler and husband, Judah of Kirbyville, Missouri; six great grandchildren, Clayton Morton of Kirksville, Missouri and Gwyndolyn Morton of the St. Louis, Missouri area, Reuben, Ariel, Brielle and Shiloh Fansler all of Kirbyville, Missouri; one brother, John Crumley and wife, Betty of Indianapolis, Indiana and one sister, Hazel Leedy of Neosho Falls, Kansas and other family members.

Mrs. Hamblin is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Eugene Hamblin on May 3, 1998; one daughter, Judith Hamblin in 2000 and two brothers, Wayne and Phillip Crumley.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 1, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Russ Morton and Judah Fansler officiating.  Music will be provided by The Fansler family playing special selections of "I'll Fly Away" and "Great Is Thy Faithfulness".  Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Morton, Clayton Morton, Sonny Smyser, Reuben Fansler, Wayne Buechel and Alex Heitman.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral services from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri.  Memorials have been established for Shiloh Christian Ranch or Midland Ministries.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging on to normanfh.com.  Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery in Glenwood, Missouri.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, Missouri.
