Mary Jane (Jarvis) Farrell

Mary Jane (Jarvis) Farrell, 81 of Lancaster, Missouri passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017 at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.
The daughter of Homer Ivan and Eva Ruby (Swindler) Jarvis, she was born on March 5, 1936 in rural Lancaster, Missouri. She attended Jaybird Darby country school and graduated in 1953 from the Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Missouri. On May 31, 1952, she was united in marriage to Ronald Eugene Farrell and to this union two sons were born, Victor and Frank.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Eugene Farrell of Lancaster, Missouri; her two sons, Victor Farrell and wife Karan of Glenwood, Missouri and Frank V. Farrell and wife, Tamara of Kansas City, Missouri; one grandchild, Isabella M G Shaver Farrell of Kansas City, Missouri; two step grandsons, Jayson Meloche and wife Martina of Detroit, Michigan and Stephen J. Flaspohler of Jefferson City, Missouri; four step great grandchildren, Alex Meloche of Glenwood, Missouri, Melissa Meloche of Detroit, Michigan, Zoe Flaspohler of Kansas City, Kansas and Noah Flaspohler of Jefferson City, Missouri; one brother, Homer Jarvis and wife, Alice of Lancaster, Missouri; two sisters, Marilyn Krutz of Lawrence, Kansas and Vicki Buckallew and husband, Junior of Lancaster, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Virginia Jarvis of Los Angeles, California; nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews who called Mary Jane "Grandma Mary"; other family members and many good friends.
Mary Jane is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David Jarvis.
Mary Jane was a member of the Lancaster Christian Church in Lancaster, Missouri. For the last several years, she and Ronnie had been attending the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri. She was a member of the P.E.O and the Red Hatters of Texas.
Mary Jane was retired from Hollister, Incorporated in Kirksville, Missouri after working for thirty years. After retirement, they divided their time between Pharr, Texas and Lancaster, Missouri.
Mary Jane was very artistic and enjoyed painting with oils which she had several very good pieces and loved spending time with her family and friends and had a very close friendship with her siblings. She played cards and board games with the kids and the time she spent with them was a joy to her. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.___________
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri with Sonny Smyser, Pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith officiating. Music will be a special CD selection of "Lean On Me". Pallbearers will be Stephen Flaspohler, Rob Small, Trent Small, Kevin Buckallew, Kevin Judd and Noah Flaspohler. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 between the hours of 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. at the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for the Schuyler County Nutrition Site and the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri. Burial will be in the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri.
