Mark Arthur Steele, 55 of Lancaster, Missouri passed away at his home in Lancaster, Missouri on Wednesday, October 26, 2016.

The son of Hubert Arthur and Linda Lee (Tutor) Steele, he was born on May 4, 1961 in Ottumwa, Iowa. On November 30, 1985, he was united in marriage to Tammy Renee Jackson in Lancaster, Missouri and to this union two children, Brianna and Trenton were born.

Mark is survived by his wife, Tammy Steele of Lancaster, Missouri; his children, Brianna Kirfman and husband, Fred of Kirksville, Missouri and Trenton Steele and wife, Tiffany of Lancaster, Missouri; one granddaughter, Elana Marie Steele of Lancaster, Missouri; his parents, Hubert and Linda Steele of Eldon, Iowa; brothers and sisters, Bill Steele and wife, Shelly of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Patricia Steele of Ottumwa, Iowa, Mark's twin sister, Mary Clark of Ottumwa, Iowa, Terry Steele and wife, Sheryl of Ottumwa, Iowa and Tony Lee Steele of Ames, Iowa; mother-in-law, Gwenda Jackson of Lancaster, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Tina Dudley and husband, Robert of Columbia, Missouri; lots of nieces and nephews; other family members and many good friends.

One brother, Timothy Ray Steele, precedes Mark in death.

Mark was employed with Cargil in Ottumwa, Iowa for twenty-nine years and was a member of the Local Union 230.

Mark was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. He loved to hunt, fish, work on cars and just spending time outdoors.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Sonny Smyser, Pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith officiating. Music will be special CD selections of "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Daddy's Hands". Pallbearers will be Cecil Rupe, Nick Davis, Luke Steele, Phillip Fiedler, Trenton Steele, Doug Benson, Fred Smith and Beau Hadden. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Steele, Tony Steele, Bill Steele, Fred Kirfman, Josh Ketchum and DeWayne Boyd. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016 between the hours of 6-8:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for the family. Burial will be in the Queen City Cemetery in Queen City, Missouri. Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging on to normanfh.com.
