Mandy Lou (Hughes) Anderson

December 9, 1942 – April 22, 2022

Mandy Lou (Hughes) Anderson, 79 of Coatsville, Missouri passed away at the Golden Age Care Center in Centerville, Iowa on Friday, April 22, 2022.

The daughter of Lyle and Norma Jean (Lohstrater) Hughes, she was born on December 9, 1942 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.    She was a 1960 high school graduate in Wayzata, Minnesota and attended two years of Glenwood Hills Nursing School in Golden Valley, Minnesota.    On October 3, 1984 in Nashua, Iowa, she was united in marriage to Allen Francis Anderson and to this union two children were born, Eric Lee and Todd Allen.

Survivors include her husband, Al Anderson of Coatsville, Missouri; two children, Eric Lee Anderson of San Jose, Illinois and Todd Allen Anderson of Coatsville, Missouri; three grandchildren, Hailey Anderson of Forest City, Illinois, Madison Anderson of Delavan, Illinois and Andy Anderson of Coatsville, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Silas and Benjamin Rodriguez of Forest City, Illinois; one brother, Peter Hughes of Minneapolis, Minnesota; nieces and nephews and other family members.

Mandy is preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Blake Anderson and one sister, Sherry Magdison.

Mandy attended the Lancaster United Methodist Church in Lancaster, Missouri.

Mandy and Al were proprietors of Anderson's Orchard for many years, and they met many wonderful people, but her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

As per Mandy's wishes, her body has been cremated and there will be no services at this time.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri.
