Lynn Warren Martin

January 7, 1951 - March 3, 2025

Lynn Warren Martin, 74 of South Amana, Iowa, formerly of Lancaster, Missouri, passed away on the family century farm of rural Lancaster, Missouri on Monday, March 3, 2025.

The son of Billy Max and Ova Dorine (Kinnamon) Martin, he was born on January 7, 1951 in Bloomfield, Iowa.  He was a 1969 graduate of the Schuyler R-I School systems in Lancaster, Missouri.  Following graduation, he was employed for the Amana Refrigeration as a welder in Amana, Iowa and was second longest employee with that company until his retirement in 2016.

Lynn is survived by his wife of 20 plus years, Aletha Jones of South Amana, Iowa; two sons, Chad Martin and wife, Khensa of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan  and Josh Martin and wife, Alex of Des Moines, Iowa; one step son, Nick Venema and wife, Micah of East Amana, Iowa; three grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; one sister, Nancy McElroy and husband, Donnie of Queen City, Missouri; one brother, Edwin Martin and wife, Kim of Marengo, Iowa; nieces and nephews and other family members.

Lynn is preceded in death by his parents, Billy on September 14, 2001 and Ova on March 19, 2017; two brothers, Dennis Martin and Stuart Martin and his wife, Sue and one nephew, Ashley McElroy.

He loved spending time on the family farm and hunting and fishing.

A private family burial will be held at a later date as the body has been cremated.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging on to normanfh.com.  Memorials have been established for Darby Cemetery.  Burial will be in the Darby Cemetery, northeast of Lancaster, Missouri.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, Missouri.
