Linda Ione (Harkness) Ferdig, 80 of Queen City, Missouri passed away on July 11, 2026 at her home.
The daughter of Donald William and Helen Viola (Dunham) Harkness, she was born on September 22, 1945 in Union County, Elk Point, South Dakota. Following her graduation from high school, she was united in marriage to Martin Earl Ferdig on November 7,1964 in Lancaster, Missouri and together they welcomed two children by birth, Marsha and Marty and lovingly adopted one daughter, Toni.
Survivors include her husband, Martin Ferdig of Queen City, Missouri; three children, Marsha Robinson and husband, Dana of Greentop, Missouri, Marty Ferdig of Lancaster, Missouri and Toni Bozeman of Ottumwa, Iowa; 11 grandchildren, Tommy Bozeman, Christian Bozeman (Kaylee), Chloe Scott (Justyn), Ryan Rusk (Rashanea), Destiny Stufflebean, Allen Ferdig and Crystal Farris (Stefan); 16 great grandchildren, Baby Martin, Eleanor, Bentley, Elijah, Baby Blythe, Gatlin, Shevelle, Daytona, Virginia, Adler, Stormi, Zannie, Ethan, Mia, Abel and Axel; siblings, Rod Harkness and wife, Emma of El Paso, Texas and Nancy Hooker of Sioux City, South Dakota; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles Ferdig and wife, Debbie, Steve Ferdig and wife, Katie, Carl Ferdig and wife, Lynisa, Fred Ferdig and significant other, Crystal Fifer, Nancy McCallum, Janet Shilling and husband, Bill, Sandy Williams, Ruth Ferdig, Richard Long and William Holcomb; numerous nieces and nephews; other family members and many good friends.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Danny Harkness in infancy, Ronnie Harkness and Terry Harkness and brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin Ferdig, Annie Swearingen, Patty Evans and husband, Mike, Jeanie Nolan and husband, George, Dell Long, Donnie McCallum and Susie Holcomb.
Linda was a member of the Queen City Baptist Church in Queen City, Missouri and attended regularly as long as her health permitted. She enjoyed attending her weekly meeting with the Thick and Thin group and riding the OATS bus!

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Jeremy Ferdig of Glenwood, Missouri officiating. Music selections will be “In The Garden” and “Ring of Fire.” Soloist for “In The Garden” will be Jackie Floyd. Pallbearers will be Paeton Ferdig, Jace Ferdig, Scooter Chuites, Johnny Downing, Justyn Scott, Tiffany Newberry, Christian Bozeman and Tommy Bozeman. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for Arni Memorial Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging on to normanfh.com. Burial will be in the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, Missouri.
