Leona May (Reynolds) Elam

July 21, 1956 – August 1, 2019

Leona May (Reynolds) Elam, 63 of Kirksville, Missouri passed away at the Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.

The daughter of Dale Leon and Mary Ruth (Hootman) Reynolds, she was born on July 21, 1956 in Atlanta, Missouri.  She was a graduate from the Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Missouri.  She attended and graduated from LPN school.

She was united in marriage to Larry and to this union one daughter was born, then was united in marriage to Randall Gene Elam, Senior and to this union three sons were born, Randall Gene, junior, Benjamin Eugene and Howard Leon.

Survivors include her children, Randall Gene Elam, Junior of Moscow Mills, Missouri, Benjamin Eugene Elam and wife, Gina of Chula, Missouri and Howard Leon Elam of Chillicothe, Missouri; 16 grandchildren; one great grandchild, Keaton White of Saulsbury, Missouri; two sisters, Carol Harris of New Cambria, Missouri and Janett Logan and husband, Marvin of St. Louis, Missouri; two brothers, Frank Holloway of Kirksville, Missouri and Raymond Reynolds and wife of Macon, Missouri; other family members and many good friends.

Leona is preceded in death by her parents, Dale Leon Reynolds and Mary Ruth (Hootman) Reynolds; both husbands, Larry and Randall Gene Elam, Senior and one granddaughter, Jazmyne Renea Elam.

Leona was attending a Kirksville Baptist Church at the time of her death.  She worked as a registered LPN in the Macon county area for a number of years.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 5, 2019 at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton, Iowa with Josh Stucki officiating.  Pallbearers will be Howard Elam, Benjamin Elam, Randall Elam Junior, Evan Aitch, Marvin Logan and Steven Blocker.  A visitation will be held at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri on Monday, August 5, 2019 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.  Memorials have been established for family.  Burial will be in the Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton, Iowa.
