Leo Schupbach

Leo Schupbach, 89 of Lancaster, Missouri passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016 at the Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, Missouri.
The son of Harold and Beulah Enid (Ayer) Schupbach, he was born on May 1, 1927 in rural Lancaster, Missouri. Leo was a graduate of the Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Missouri. Following his graduation from high school, he served in the United States Army from which he was honorably discharged.
On June 4, 1948 in Lancaster, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Celeste Epperson and to this union two children were born, Linda Kay and Larry Leo.
Surviving are his children, Linda Horn and husband, Steve of Blue Springs, Missouri and Larry Schupbach and wife, Lydia of Graham, Texas; five grandchildren, Brooke Addison and husband, Jeff of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Brett Horn and wife, Jenny of Liberty, Missouri, Megan Chambers and husband, Scott of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Mike Schupbach and wife, Jordan of Houston, Texas, Mitch Schupbach and wife, Amanda of Montgomery, Alabama; 13 great grandchildren, Kaylee and Maycee Addison, Jack, Brigit and Will Horn, Aubree and Ashlyn Arnett and Gracie Chambers, Kerstin and Kolton Schupbach and Parker, Charlotte and Cooper Schupbach; several nieces and nephews and many special friends from the Rio Grande Valley.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy on July 10, 2015 and one great grandson, Charlie Horn.
Leo was a member of the Lancaster Baptist Church in Lancaster, Missouri.
Leo and Dorothy farmed north of Lancaster, Missouri where they made their home for approximately 67 years. They traveled to Pharr, Texas every winter for 30 years. They made many special friends and this was a joyous and very special time in their lives.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Sonny Smyser, Pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith officiating. Soloist, Beth Withrow performing a special selection of "The Old Rugged Cross", will provide music. Pallbearers will be Brett Horn, Mike Schupbach, Mitch Schupbach, Jeff Addison, Scott Chambers and Gary Kimbrell. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Horn, Will Horn, Parker Schupbach and Kolton Schupbach. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2016 between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for the Schuyler County Nutrition Site or to the Arni Memorial Cemetery. Burial will be in the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri.
