Larry Lou Webster

Larry Lou Webster, 83 of Glenwood, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.

The son of Richard Eugene and Mary Louise (Schmitter) Webster, he was born on May 8, 1943 in Kirksville, Missouri. Following his graduation from Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Missouri, he enlisted in the United States Air Force on November 8, 1966 and was honorably discharged on November 6, 1970 at the Beale Air Force Base in California. Larry worked as a mechanic on the SR 71 Blackbird Spy Plane until his discharge.

Larry was united in marriage to Patricia Grogan on Thursday, May 14, 2009 in Kirksville, Missouri.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Webster of Glenwood, Missouri; one daughter, Kimberly Webster and husband, Ron Martin of Plano, Illinois; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many good friends.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Jean Ann Sidwell and husband, Dennis; one twin brother, Gary Webster and wife, Connie and one nephew, Clinton Eric Webster.

Larry worked for Caterpillar for 30 plus years where he held several different positions during that time, including office manager until his retirement.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Todd Borgmann, Pastor of the Lancaster United Methodist Church officiating. Special musical selections of “Go Rest High On That Mountain” and “Take My Hand, Precious Lord” will be performed. Pallbearers will be Ron Martin, Chris Frandsen, Kyle Stith, Gary Stump, Jeff Hill and Clayton Kaden. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for Schuyler County Community Center with checks made payable to REACH. Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging on to normanfh.com. Burial will be in the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri. Military rites will be conducted by the Schuyler County American Legion Post #784 of Queen City, Missouri.
