Larry Lee Shively, 69, a lifelong resident of Schuyler County, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at the Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, Missouri under Hospice care.
The son of Clarence Dale and Beverly Ann (Ford) Shively, he was born on November 28, 1955 in Kirksville, Missouri. Larry was a graduate of Lancaster High School, class of 1973.
Survivors include his siblings, Rick Shively of Glenwood, Missouri, Lurene Stice (Mickey) of Downing, Missouri, Brent Shively (Cindy) of Glenwood, Missouri and Brenda Powers (Alan) of Centralia, Missouri; 14 nieces and nephews, Amy Shively Aggeler (Marvin), Denise Shively, Justin Shively (Amanda), Joshua Shively (Jessica), Robert Stice, Aaron Stice (Rachel), Katie Seaton (Michael), Chad Stice (Sasha), Logan Shively (Heather), Jaron Shively (Jessica), Dalton Shively (Hanna), Buddy Powers, Nathan Powers and Crystal Powers; 27 great nieces and nephews, Sophia Shively, Hayden Gott, Darius Schultz (Chaz), Desire Farmer, Demitria Vorhees (Dylan), Harley Potts, Maverick Shively, Titan Shively, Wyatt, Sophie and Ava Brumbaugh, Emerson and Evelyn Stice, Olin Seaton, Harper Murphy, Asher Stice, Brenna, Gwyneth and August Shively, Carter and Camden Shively, Jace and Kallie Shively, Juliana Powers, L.J. Powers, Kyler Powers and Desirea Bergeron; great great nieces and nephews, Lattie and Kalvin Schultz, Annastasia Farmer, Amelia Robeson, Rowen & Rawlings Brumbaugh and Saylor Kling; aunt, Jessie Kay Myers of Rosemount, Minnesota; other family members and many good friends.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Dale on September 9, 2009 and Beverly Ann on May 12, 2023; one nephew, Jesse Shively; uncles, Olin Leon Shively and Frank Shively and wife, Vera and aunts, Vivian Ketchum, Georgia Coleman, Mary Jane Preston and Lurene Adams.
Larry, "Peevine" as he was known by, was a friend to any one he came in contact with and always greeted them with a smile. He loved to hunt, trap shoot, fish and spend time with family and friends. He enjoyed family gatherings and loved spending time with his many nephews and nieces, something Emerson and Evelyn will never forget.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 12 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Mikel Roberts, of Lancaster, Missouri officiating. Music selections of "Lead Me Home" and "The Garden" will be performed. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for Schuyler County Nursing Home. Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging on to normanfh.com. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery in Glenwood, Missouri at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, Missouri.
