Kelly Nicole Gray

July 23, 1974- December 19, 2024

Kelly Nicole Gray, 50, of Glenwood, Missouri passed away at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri on Thursday, December 19, 2024 after a brief stay surrounded by loved ones.

The daughter of Kendall Gray and Debbie Smyser, she was born on July 23, 1974 in Kirksville, Missouri. Kelly attended school in various places including Valdosta, Georgia, Bitbug, Germany, Avondale, Arizona, Belleville, Illinois and graduated in 1992 from Schuyler R-I High School in Queen City, Missouri.  Kelly enrolled in college majoring in accounting at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri and Moberly Area Community College in Kirksville, Missouri.  Kelly was employed at Lancaster Flowers in Lancaster, Missouri.

Kelly is survived by her significant other, Tracy Goodson of Glenwood, Missouri and his sons, Saban Goodson (Alyssa) and Haze Goodson (Kalleigh); her parents, Kendall Gray of Lancaster, Missouri and Debbie Smyser of Kirksville, Missouri; siblings, Travis Tucker, Tyler Tucker, Tracy Mathews (Adrian), Jordan Berry (Shawn Kelliher) and Kelly Miller (Justin); grandfather, Quentin Smyser (Marie); nieces, nephews, cousins; Tracy's parents, Phillip and Cathy Goodson; her beloved dogs and a host of relatives and good friends.

Kelly is preceded in death by her grandparents, Martha Smyser, Hubert and LaVonne Gray.

Kelly was a member of the Lancaster Christian Church in Lancaster, Missouri.

Kelly was a friend to everyone and a "ray of sunshine" who touched the lives of everybody she encountered.  Kelly's determination, perseverance and strength in life empowered her with steadfast courage to endure the difficulties of living with cystic fibrosis and to overcome many obstacles thrown her way facing them with a positive attitude and never complained or gave up.

Kelly's various passions were playing cards, an avid book reader, attending Bible studies group as a loyal Christian, participating in Cancer Relay for Life and living on her small acreage enjoying her dogs, chickens and horses, attending horse events, auctions and rodeos with her cowboy partner, Tracy until her health declined.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at the Lancaster Christian Church in Lancaster, Missouri with Brad Drummond of Lancaster, Missouri officiating.  Special selections will be "I Believe", "Angels Among Us" and "Amazing Grace".  Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at the Lancaster Christian Church in Lancaster, Missouri between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.  Memorials have been established for the Schuyler County Cancer Relief Fund.  Burial will be at a later date as per Kelly's wishes, her body has been cremated.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging on to normanfh.com.
