Judith Lou (Mullen) Human 83, of Lancaster, Missouri passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024 at the Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, Missouri where she had been a resident since July 2023.
The daughter of Lieutenant Colonel Franklin Harry and Frances Isabelle (Berry) Mullen, she was born in Columbus, Mississippi on April 19, 1940. She was a 1958 high school graduate of Donnelson High School in Donnelson, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Burt Elwell in January of 1967. In the late 1990's in St. Louis, Missouri, while attending a polo match, she met and fell in love with Robert J. Human. The two entered into a lifelong relationship and later married on July 22, 2002 in Louisiana, Missouri. While together, they later moved to Glenwood, Missouri where they built their home and raised longhorn cattle and horses.
Judith is survived by two sisters, Karen Phillips of Granville, Ohio and Rebecca Reynolds of Sandpoint, Idaho; her chosen family, Brenda and Dusty Swedberg of Lancaster, Missouri; special friends, Randy Whitlow of Lancaster, Missouri and Gail Melvin and family of Lancaster, Missouri; nieces, nephews and many good friends.
Judith is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert J. Human on September 23, 2002; two brothers-in-law, Alan Phillips and Roy Reynolds and one special family member, Dean Swedberg.
She was a stewardess for Ozark Airline, which became American Airline, where she retired after many years of service and adventures. She loved all animals, especially her polo horse, Sara, who is now 36 years old.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Pastor Josh Ritzheimer officiating assisted by Brenda Swedberg. Music will be special selections of "Amazing Grace," "In The Garden" and "God Will Take Care Of You." Memorials have been established for the Schuyler County Nutrition Site and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging on to normanfh.com. Burial of the cremains will be in the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri.
