Juanita Ruth (Landtiser) Lonis
December 25, 1918 - August 28, 2015

Juanita Ruth (Landtiser) Lonis of Glenwood, Missouri passed away at the Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, Missouri on August 28, 2015 at the age of 96.

The daughter of Lawrence Leonard and Mabel Opal (Johnson) Landtiser, she was born on December 25, 1918 near Chapel, Missouri.

She was united in marriage to Glen Leon Lonis on October 21, 1938 and to this union two daughters were born, Glenita Ann and Carol Jo.

Juanita is survived by her two daughters, Glenita Ann Lonis of Overland Park, Kansas and Carol Jo Neagle of Glenwood, Missouri; three grandchildren, Douglas Briedwell and wife, Judy of VanCouver, Washington, Lanita Moss and husband, Colby of Moore, Texas and Patrick Neagle of Trout Lake, Washington; two great granddaughters, Elliott and Hunter Moss; one brother, Charles Landtiser and wife, Joy of Kirksville, Missouri; nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glen on February 19, 2010 and two sisters, Christa Taylor and Marilyn Abbott.

Juanita graduated from Livonia High School, which was the first four-year graduating class. She worked at KOH Hospital for seven years, was a National Certified Instructor for the Schuyler County Ambulance District and worked fourteen years as a EMT, was a leader of several church and community youth groups and was an active member of the Baptist church all of her life.

She will be missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Robert Harrison officiating. Music will be provided by soloist, Sheryl Fabyanic and pianist, Donna Welte. Special selections will be "Amazing Grace" and "He Touched Me". A poem reading will be presented by Susan Welsh. Pallbearers will be Vic Farrell, Larry Lonis, Gary Kimbrell, Wayne Anderson, David Hartsock and Richard Taylor. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral services from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, north of Glenwood, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, Missouri.
