Jolene Kay Bonefas, 56, of rural Glenwood, Missouri passed away at her home on Friday, January 30, 2015.
The daughter of Dale Raymond and Lucille A. (Hay) Wiebbecke, she was born on January 29, 1959 in Waterloo, Iowa. She was a graduate of the Jesup High School in Jesup, Iowa. On May 19, 1978 in Independence, Iowa, she was united in marriage to Larry Paul Bonefas and to this union 5 children were born, Jennifer, Michael, David, Danielle and Samantha.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Paul of Glenwood, Missouri; her children, Jennifer Shadle and husband, Blaine of Gilbertville, Iowa, Michael Bonefas and wife, Meghan of Bennett, Iowa, David Bonefas and Kodi Koehler of Jesup, Iowa, Danielle Ambrosy and husband, Aaron of Viborg, South Dakota and Samantha Bonefas of Bennett, Iowa; 5 grandchildren, Emilie and Aubrey Shadle, Leland and Maeson Koehler and Kaylee Bonefas; her mother, Lucille A. Wiebbecke of Jesup, Iowa; 4 brothers and 1 sister; nieces and nephews and other family members.
Jolene is preceded in death by her father, Dale Raymond Wiebbecke.
Jolene received her Certified Nursing Aide certification. Jolene volunteered countless hours in the Alcohol and Chemical Dependency Unit at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa. Jolene enjoyed painting ceramics, watching wildlife, fishing, caring for her flowers and landscaping, spending time with her children and helping them with home improvement projects.
