John Paul Brinkman of Cedar Hill, Missouri was born March 6, 1953 in Quincy, Illinois to Chester and Jean (nee Bywater) Brinkman and entered into rest Saturday, May 7, 2016 at St Clare Health Center in Fenton, Missouri at the age of 63 years, 2 months and 1 day.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Ellen (nee Lanham) Brinkman of Cedar Hill, Missouri; one son, Stephen Brinkman of Cedar Hill, Missouri; one brother, William Chester (Jay) Brinkman of Ft. Collins, Colorado; brother and sister-in-laws, Frances (Ron) Robbins, Reta (Marc) Dabney, Leta (John) Bozek, Lois (Mark) Sayre Rysdam, Fred Lanham, Edward (Billie) Lanham, Dick (Sherri) Lanham and Beverly (Garrett) Wallins; many nieces, nephews coworkers and friends.

John enjoyed photography, traveling with his family to Colorado, computer games and enjoying a good meal with family and friends. He had worked for Magellan Health Service in Maryland Heights for the last sixteen years. John had made many lifetime friends who always loved his sense of humor and ready smile. He was a generous soul who never failed to offer his hand to anyone. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until time of services at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill, Missouri. Visitation will also be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Interment will be held at the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been made to the Arni Memorial Cemetery Fund or to the Big River Ambulance District in Cedar Hill, Missouri.
