Joann Lynn (Bridgeman) Jackson, 59 of rural Lancaster, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at her home.
The daughter of Thomas E. and Mary Josephine (Christy) Bridgeman, she was born on November 26, 1959 in Ottumwa, Iowa. On November 11, 1978, she was united in marriage to Jasper Lee Jackson and to this union five children were born, Jessie, Stephanie, Jenny, Nicole and Dixie.
Joann is survived by her children, Jessie Jackson of Lancaster, Missouri, Stephanie Jackson of Queen City, Missouri, Jenny Fowler and husband, Christopher of Lancaster, Missouri, Nicole Proctor and husband, Patrick of Kirksville, Missouri and Dixie Jackson of Kirksville, Missouri; 11 grandchildren, Rowdy Ray Jones of Queen City, Missouri, Dharma Lee Fowler, Julia Lynn Fowler and John Charles Fowler all of Lancaster, Missouri, Ethan Jasper Proctor, Katelyn Emily Proctor, Tiffany Renae Proctor and Crystal Brianne Proctor all of Kirksville, Missouri and Machiast Allen Neighbors, Jasper Jackson Neighbors and Wyatt Lee Neighbors all of Kirksville, Missouri; brothers and sisters, Barbara Janney, Shirley Roberts, Linda Marshall, Judy Blew, Hope Archer, Claire Jackson, Becky Surber, Kenneth Bridgeman and Thomas Bridgeman; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
Joann is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jasper Lee Jackson on September 13, 1993 and brothers and sisters, Leo Hopkins, Tom Bridgeman, Jackey Bridgeman, Gary Bridgeman, David Bridgeman, Thelma Closser, Betty Skinner, Alberta Rauh, Beverly Porter, Margaret Ingersoll, Doris Bridgeman, Janice Bridgeman and Cindy Humphrey.
Joann was a waitress for numerous years and was also employed with the Schuyler County Health Department and the Schuyler County Nursing Home.
Joann loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, as her family was her world.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Sonny Smyser, Pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral services from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for the family.
