James Dwight Hussey
June 21, 1937 – July 6, 2015

James Dwight Hussey, 78 of Lancaster, Missouri passed away at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri on Monday, July 06, 2015.

The son of Dwight and Ruth (Perkins) Hussey, he was born on June 21, 1937 in Richmond, Virginia.

On April 21, 1959, he was united in marriage to Joan Gwendolyn Hocking in Northbrook, Illinois and to this union three daughters were born, Kathy, Rebecca and Victoria.

Survivors include his children, Kathy Crump and husband, Brent of Lancaster, Missouri, Rebecca Hussey of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Victoria Hinkebein and husband, Dan of Fenton, Missouri; 4 grandchildren, Kristina McArtor, Nathan Crump, Nikole Crump and Justin Hussey; 1 step granddaughter, Heather MaCannon; 1 great grandson, Camden MaCannon;1 sister, Dorothy Chistafield of Dayton, Kentucky; 1 sister-in- law, Lee Hussey of Portsmith, Virginia; several nieces and nephews and other family members.

James is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joan on June 9, 2007 and one brother, Rodney Hussey.

James served his country in the United States Air Force and the Army National Guard. He retired from the United States Army as a Master Sergeant. After being honorably discharged, he was employed as a Human Resource Manager.

He was a supportive and loving husband for nearly 48 years, a wonderful father, grandfather and brother. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri with Pastor Leanna van Zandt officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, 2015 between the hours of 1:00 p.m. until the time of the graveside services at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for United Methodist Church in Lancaster, Missouri. Burial and Military Rites will be held in the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri.
