Henry Foster Burgher

Henry Foster Burgher, 96 of rural Moulton, Iowa passed away on Wednesday,
December 21, 2016 at the Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

The son of Layman and Celeste (Weldon) Burgher, he was born on May 8, 1920 in Coatsville, Missouri. On May 27, 1950 in Kirksville, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Dorthy Coleen Hargrave and to this union two children were born, Bruce and Wade.

Survivors include his wife, Coleen of rural Moulton, Iowa; his children, Carol Atkins and husband, Bill of Indiana, Bruce Burgher and wife, Jane of Moulton, Iowa and Wade Burgher and wife, Tammy of Lake of the Ozark, Missouri; five grandchildren, Shane Burgher and wife, Erika of Moravia, Iowa, Beau Burgher and wife, Alicia of Moulton, Iowa, Caleb Cornett and wife, Debbie of Chicago, Illinois, Tyler Burgher and wife, Kirsten of Fulton, Missouri and Matthew Burgher and Kelsi Little of Columbia, Missouri; twelve great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Ballew of Centerville, Iowa and Iris Dotson of Lancaster, Missouri; other family members and numerous friends.

Henry is preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Mary Crawford, Pat Hoover, Katy Korch and Ruth Clemens and two brothers, John Burgher and Claude Burgher.

Henry was a Soil Conservation Contractor for a number of farmers in rural Iowa and northern Missouri.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 26, 2016 between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for the First Responders of Moulton, Iowa. Private graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the Moulton Sunset View Cemetery in Moulton, Iowa with Pastor Sonny Smyser officiating.
