Harold Lee Dellinger, born September 12, 1947 in Kirksville, Missouri died June 2, 2018 in Kansas City, Missouri.  He was a writer, researcher and historian who shared his curiosity and knowledge widely and generously.  He encouraged his children and grandchildren in all things and was a very caring gentleman.

Harold graduated from Carrollton High School and CMSU.  He valued his work with Friends of the James Farm, Quantrill Society, Society for American Baseball Research and Lykins Neighborhood Association.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Gene Dellinger and Lois Lee Tadlock Dellinger.  He is survived by children, Emily McGovern, H. Joshua Dellinger and Laura Ganschow; grandchildren, Baird, Tomas and Mary Kathryn; siblings, William, Cleo Hewett and David and by Janet L. Dellinger.

Visitation Thursday, June 14, 4-7 p.m.  Eulogy at 6 p.m. at Passantino Bros Funeral Home, Kansas City, Missouri.  Burial will take place in Lancaster, Missouri at the Arni Memorial Cemetery on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with arrangements under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home.  Memorials suggested to Friends of the James Farm.
