George Samuel Groseclose

November 12, 1959 – August 23, 2019

George Samuel Groseclose, 59 of rural Lancaster, Missouri passed away in Queen City, Missouri on August 23, 2019.

The son of Joe Edward "Razz" and Martha (Lambert) Groseclose, he was born on November 12, 1959 in Kirksville, Missouri.

George is survived by his six children, George Groseclose and special friend, Tabitha of Glenwood, Missouri, Matthew Groseclose and Harold of Queen City, Missouri, Seth Groseclose and special friend, Belle of Glenwood, Missouri, Sam Groseclose, Marie Moore and Aaron Jefferson all of Brookfield, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Dagisteno, Zeke, Scooter, Audrey, Bobby, Seth Jr., Brennleigh, Ryker and Hudsin; two sisters, Doris Oliver of Edina, Missouri and Pixie Garrett and husband,
Raymond of Orin, Illinois; one brother, Joe Groseclose and wife, Karon of Lancaster, MO; nieces, nephews and other family members.

George is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Tommy Groseclose on September 13, 1993.

George worked at the Shoe Factory in Kirksville, Missouri for twenty-five years and then worked at the Smithfield Foods, Inc. in Milan, Missouri for seventeen years.  He loved to hunt, fish and watch westerns.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 26, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Sonny Smyser, Pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri officiating.  Music will be special CD selections of "Riverbank", "Love Without End Amen "and "Daddy's Hands".  Pallbearers will be Rick Nelson, Jason Phillips, Scooter Chuites, Terry Groseclose, Kipton Groseclose and Logan Farley.  Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Nelson, Zeke Shilling and Scooter Shilling.  Visitation will be held on Monday, August 26, 2019 one hour prior to the funeral services from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri.  Memorials have been established for the family.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging on to normanfh.com.  Burial will be in the Fabius Cemetery east of Lancaster, Missouri.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, Missouri.
