Emily Ann Comstock

Emily Ann Comstock, 60, of Downing, Missouri passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri.

The daughter of Charles William and Ardis Kay (Weilbrenner) Comstock, she was born on December 2, 1962 in Iowa City, Iowa. She was a graduate of the Schuyler R-1 school system and also obtained an associate degree in dental assisting from St. Louis, Missouri. She was in the dental field for 35 years.

September 1986, she was united in marriage to Wade Cauthon and to this union, one daughter was born, Ashley.

Survivors include her daughter, Ashley Cunningham of Kirksville, Missouri; two grandchildren, Isaac and Joslyn Cunningham of Kirksville, Missouri; her parents, Charles and Ardis Comstock of Downing, Missouri; two sisters, Christine Parker and husband, Jamie of Memphis, Missouri and Kathy Greenstreet and husband, Todd of Downing, Missouri; one brother, Chuck Comstock and wife, Melissa of Kirksville, Missouri; honorary family member, Kendall Gray of Lancaster, Missouri; nieces and nephews, other family members and many good friends.

Emily is preceded in death by her grandparents, Tillman and Agnes Comstock and Lloyd and Wanda Weilbrenner.

She was a member of the Downing Christian Church for many years and attended regularly.

She enjoyed it when her brother would tease her on her birthday by texting the same number of times as she was old. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and spending her spare time shopping as her closets were proof!

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date as the body has been cremated. Memorials have been established for Ashley Cunningham for funeral expenses.
