Eleanor Jean (Mecum) Youngman

Eleanor Jean (Mecum) Youngman, 90 of Lancaster, Missouri, passed away at her home on Sunday, April 20, 2025.

Eleanor was the daughter of William and Mabel (Taylor) Mecum. She was born in Hannibal, Missouri on April 3, 1935. Eleanor graduated high school at a school near Bettendorf, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Walter David Youngman and to this union, 7 children were born; Mary, Roger, Walter Jr., Donna, Edith, Joann and Richard. Eleanor worked as a housekeeper on the river boat casino, Mississippi Belle.

Eleanor is survived by her children; Mary Baldwin and husband, Don

of Lancaster, Missouri, Roger Youngman of Kirksville, Missouri, Walter Youngman of Davenport, Iowa, Donna Fulhman and husband, Steve of Greentop, Missouri, Edith Patterson of Kirksville, Missouri and Joann Collis and husband, Bobby of Queen City, Missouri; several grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and other family members.

Eleanor is preceded by her parents; husband; one son, Richard Youngman; one grandson, James Heston and 8 brothers and sisters.

Services will be held at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Iowa at a later date with burial at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Bettendorf, Iowa.
