Dorothy Celeste (Epperson) Schupbach
April 21, 1928 – July 10, 2015

Dorothy Celeste (Epperson) Schupbach was born in Glenwood, Missouri on April 21, 1928 to Willard and Thelma Louise (Seamster) Epperson and died on Friday, July 10, 2015 at the Samaritan Hospital in Macon, Missouri. She was 87 years old.

She graduated from Lancaster High School in 1946. On June 4, 1948 in Lancaster, Missouri, she married Leo Schupbach of Lancaster, Missouri and two children were born to this union, Linda Kay and Larry Leo. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior in her 20's and is a member of the Lancaster Baptist Church.

Dorothy worked many different jobs and helped Leo on the farm north of Lancaster, Missouri where they made their home for 67 years. She retired from Tri County Electric in Lancaster, Missouri after working for 29 ½ years. Dorothy and Leo traveled to Pharr, Texas every winter in their motor home for 30 years. They made many special friends and this was a joyous and very special time in Dorothy's life. She loved to shop and was excellent in the kitchen. Some of her specialties were chicken and noodles, banana bread, chocolate fudge and any kind of pie. She bragged about her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to anyone who would listen!

Surviving are her husband, Leo of Lancaster, Missouri; her children, Linda Horn and husband, Steve of Blue Springs, Missouri and Larry Schupbach and wife, Lydia of Graham, Texas; five grandchildren, Brooke Addison and husband, Jeff of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Brett Horn and wife, Jenny of Liberty, Missouri, Megan Chambers and husband, Scott of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Mike Schupbach and wife, Jordan of Houston, Texas, Mitchell Schupbach and wife, Amanda of Montgomery, Alabama; 12 great grandchildren, Kaylee and Maycee Addison, Jack, Brigit and Will Horn, Aubree and Ashlyn Arnett and Gracie Chambers, Kerstin and Kolton Schupbach and Parker and Charlotte Schupbach; several nieces and nephews and many special friends from the valley.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Devon Epperson, Jamie Epperson and his wife, Anna, Kenny Epperson; one infant sister, Betty Epperson and a special great grandson, Charlie Horn.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 13, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Sonny Smyser, Pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith officiating. Music will be provided by organist, Maureen Watkins and soloist, Beth Withrow. A special musical selection of "Amazing Grace" will be performed. Pallbearers will be Brett Horn, Mike Schupbach, Jeff Addison, Scott Chambers, Mitch Schupbach, Jack Horn, Will Horn and Gary Kimbrell. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2015 between the hours of 6-8:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for the Schuyler County Nutrition Site in Lancaster, Missouri. Burial will be in the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri.
