David Paul Ruggles, Sr.,78, of Lancaster, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
The son of Charles Ernie and Clemmie Opal (Garr) Ruggles, he was born on May 22, 1943 in Livonia, Missouri. On June 5, 1967 in Centerville, Iowa, he was united in marriage to Shirley Salladay in Centerville, Iowa and to this union two children were born, Reba and David Paul Ruggles, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley of Lancaster, Missouri; his children, Reba Weaver and husband, Jack of Mexico, Missouri and David Paul Ruggles, Jr. and wife, Cindy of Livonia, Missouri; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one sister, Audrey McClaskey of Iowa; numerous nieces and nephews; other family members and many good friends.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Ernie Ruggles on August 9, 1979 and Clemmie Opal Garr on February 28, 1992; three brothers, George Ruggles, Robert Ruggles and Richard Ruggles; three sisters, Zelpha May Pruner, Bethene Veatch and Mary Lou Ruggles.
David was employed with the Ayers Oil Company, Modernaire Truck Stop for a number of years located in Lancaster, Missouri. He was also employed as a night watchman with the Lancaster Police Department working for Leonard Lonis during the 1970's.
David was a member of the Full Gospel Churches International for which he was very proud of. He was an ordained minister of Christ.

A visitation with family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 between the hours of 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for the family. Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging on to normanfh.com. As the body has been cremated, burial will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, Missouri.
