David William Kollaszar, 79 of Queen City, Missouri passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at the Putnam County Care Center in Unionville, Missouri where he had been a resident since October 3, 2024.
The son of Michael and Florence (Vanaman) Kollaszar, David was born on December 31, 1944 in Winamac, Indiana. He attended high school in Montello, Wisconsin. Following high school, David enlisted in the United States Navy from which he received an honorable discharge. On August 26, 1977 in Memphis, Missouri, David was united in marriage to Rose Mary Yearns.
David is survived by his wife, Rose Mary of Queen City, Missouri; one sister, Evelynn Blada of Wisconsin; two brothers, Phillip Kollaszar of Wisconsin and Kenneth Kollaszar and wife, Julie of Wisconsin; one brother-in-law, Allen Willkomm; sisters-in-law, Christine Kollaszar and Janice Kollaszar; two close brothers-in-law, Leroy Yearns and wife, Terri and Earl Dean Yearns and wife, Kathy; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
David is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Beverly Mire and husband, Emell and Elizabeth Willkomm; four brothers, Michael Kollaszar, James Kollaszar and wife, Jane, Robert Kollaszar and wife, Carla and Lawrence Kollaszar; two brothers-in-law, Ronald Blada and Otto Yearns and wife, Geneva; three sisters-in law, Martha Schmitter and husband Junior, Mary Ann Yearns and Nikki Yearns.
During his spare time, David enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and woodworking.

Funeral services will be held on Friday November 1, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Sam Burkholder, Pastor of the Queen City First Baptist Church in Queen City, Missouri officiating. Music will be special selections of "Go Rest High on That Mountain" and "One Day At A Time". Visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024 between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for the family. The burial will be at the Germania Cemetery in rural Queen City, Missouri. Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging on to normanfh.com.
