Cynthia Elaine (Ebert) Dixon

Cynthia Elaine (Ebert) Dixon, 67 of Lancaster, Missouri passed away at the Scotland County Hospital in Memphis, Missouri on Sunday, June 12, 2016.
The daughter of Fred Eldon and Josephine Edith (Bollin) Ebert, she was born on November 14, 1948 in Nauvoo, Illinois. She was a graduate of the Fox Valley High School in Milton, Iowa and later attended St. Joseph School of Nursing in Ottumwa, Iowa where she earned an Associate Degree in Nursing.
She was united in marriage to Larry D. Dixon on April 16, 1972 in Nauvoo, Illinois and to this union three children were born, William, Joseph and Sarah.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Dixon of Lancaster, Missouri; her children, Dr. William "Bill" Dixon and wife, Ann of Mendon, Illinois, Joseph Dixon and wife, Darla of Coatsville, Missouri and Sarah Schmitzer and significant friend, Joel Crossgrove of Lancaster, Missouri; 7 grandchildren, Andrew, Katelyn and Noah Dixon, Hayden and Claudia Dixon and Elaine and Laura Schmitzer; her mother, Jo Holton and husband, Robert of Downing, Missouri and 8 step brothers; 2 brothers, Daniel Ebert and significant friend, Eva of Downing, Missouri and Bradley Ebert and wife, Rhonda of Downing, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Sharon Ebert of Ft. Madison, Iowa and Carol Spence and husband, Ronald of High Point, Georgia; several nieces and nephews and other family members.
Her father, Fred Eldon Ebert and one brother, Michael Eldon Ebert, precede Cynthia in death.
Cynthia was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church in Memphis, Missouri. She was also a member of the Missouri State Nursing Association for a number of years.
Cynthia was a very caring wife, mother, grandmother and coworker. She enjoyed her family but especially her grandchildren! She also loved to cook, sew and garden. She especially looked forward to family dinners and the Christmas holidays, as Christmas was her hobby!

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Father Colin Franklin of the St. John's Catholic Church in Memphis, Missouri assisted by Sonny Smyser, Pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri. A special musical selection of "A Daisy A Day" will be performed. Pallbearers will be Gail Melvin, Chris Oliver, Clayton Kaden, Andy Dixon, Leo Holton and Ben Gray. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 between the hours of 6-8:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri. Burial will be in the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, Missouri.
