Cheryl Juanita (Williams) Ayer

Cheryl Juanita (Williams) Ayer, 71 of Kirksville, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, January 05, 2016 at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.
The daughter of Herbert and Emily Ruth (Henry) Williams, she was born on August 26, 1944 in St. Joseph, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Robert Earl Ayer on November 9, 1963 in St. Joseph, Missouri and to this union one son, Michael was born.
Survivors include one son, Michael Ayer and wife, Recee of Kirksville, Missouri; two grandchildren, Sara Wise and husband, Brian of Kirksville, Missouri and Kristin Ayer and friend, James Theriac of Kirksville, Missouri; two great grandsons, Travis and Matthew Wise of Kirksville, Missouri; one sister, Emily Hughes and husband, Danny of St. Joseph, Missouri; one brother, Willard Williams of Batavia, Illinois; one brother-in-law and his family, Randall Ayer and wife, Marilyn of Lancaster, Missouri; several great nieces and nephews; cousins and other family members.
Her parents; stepfather, Tom Harris; her husband, Robert Earl Ayer on December 20, 2011; one brother in infancy, one brother-in-law, Ritchie Ayer and their faithful companion, their dog, Wickett precede Cheryl in death.
Cheryl was a loving and supportive wife for approximately 48 years, a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, friends and faithful dog companions, Skippy and Kitty.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Sonny Smyser, Pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri officiating. Special CD musical selections will be "It Is Finished", "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Amazing Grace". Pallbearers will be Brenden Stephens, Mike McNary, Jeremy Hatcher, Dustin Williams, Brian Wise and Janson Ayer. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral services between the hours of 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for the Fabius Cemetery. Burial will be in the Fabius Cemetery, east of Lancaster, Missouri.
