Charles Francis Whitworth, Jr.

February 23, 1946 – July 3, 2025

Charles Francis Whitworth, Jr., 79 of Glenwood, Missouri passed away at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri on July 3, 2025.

The son of Charles Francis and Violet (Reed) Whitworth, he was born in St. Louis, Missouri.  He was united in marriage to Tammy Ross on September 21, 1983 in Fenton, Missouri and to this union two sons were born, Charles and Bryan.

Charles Francis Whitworth, Jr. worked for Chrysler Motors in St. Louis, Missouri as an assembly worker and retired from that company several years ago moving to Lancaster, Missouri to be closer to family.

Charles is survived by his wife, Tammy Whitworth of Glenwood, Missouri; children:  three girls, Kathie Harper of Florida, Mary Whitworth and Cindy Whitworth both of the St. Louis, Missouri area and two boys, Charles Whitworth of St. Peters, Missouri and Bryan Whitworth of Greentop, Missouri; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and sisters;  his mother-in-law, Barbara Ross of Lancaster, Missouri; father-in-law, Billy Paul Ross of Georgia and brother-in-law, Larry Ross of Lancaster, Missouri; nieces and nephews and other family members.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents and several sisters.
