Charles Stevens, 82 of Lancaster, Missouri passed away at the Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, Missouri on Thursday, March 27, 2014.
The son of Charles Henry and Gladys (Watkins) Stevens, he was born on May 3, l931 in rural Glenwood, Missouri. Following graduation from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served during the Korean War. Following his honorable discharge from the Army, he returned to the Glenwood, Missouri area where he was a grain and livestock farmer with his father.
On October 16, 1992 at the Christian Church in Lancaster, Missouri by Brent Fleshman, he was united in marriage to Lorraine (Eakins) Spears.
Charles is survived by his wife, Lorraine Stevens of Lancaster, Missouri; step children, Bill Spears and wife, Lori of Glenwood, Missouri and Cindy Ellis of Knoxville, Iowa; step grandchildren, Jason Spears of Kirksville, Missouri, Jessie Spears of Centerville, Iowa and Loutrisha Hollon of Novinger, Missouri.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Leah Jean Stevens.
Charles was a member of the Lancaster Christian Church for a number of years.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Leanna van Zandt, Pastor of the United Methodist Church in Lancaster, Missouri. Music will be special CD selections of "In The Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross". Pallbearers will be Randy Shively, Jeb Weaver, Jessie Spears, Quinten Smyser, Sonny Smyser, Fred Lanham and Edward Lanham. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral services from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri. Memorials have been established for the Schuyler County Nutrition Site in Lancaster, Missouri. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery in Glenwood, Missouri.
