Charles Edson Beeler

October 23, 1933 – February 3, 2025

Charles Edson Beeler, 91 of Lancaster, Missouri passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025 at his home.

The son of Malcolm Everett and Viola (Dellinger) Beeler, he was born on October 23, 1933 in rural Lancaster, Missouri.  He attended Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Missouri.  On July 23, 1950 in Lancaster, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Marilee Dale Flynn and to this union three children were born, Chris, Cindy and Scott.

"Charlie" is survived by his children, Chris and wife, Cathy of Omaha, Nebraska, Cindy Beeler of Omaha, Nebraska and Scott Beeler of Lancaster, Missouri; four grandchildren, Cameron Miller of Lancaster, Missouri, Seth Beeler and wife, Tabor of Las Vegas, Nevada, Kristin Loewe and husband, Brant of Omaha, Nebraska and Megan Beeler of Omaha, Nebraska; 12 great grandchildren; one sister, Violet Smoot of Lawrence, Kansas; one sister-in-law, Phyllis Kissel of Des Moines, Iowa; numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and many good friends.

Charlie is preceded in death by his wife, Marilee on July 25, 2019; his parents; seven brothers, Tony, Loyal, Okley, Virgil, Homer, Robert and Lowell and one sister, Jewell Roberts.

Charlie was a member of the Lancaster Baptist Church and also attended the Lancaster Methodist Church as long as his health permitted.

Charlie owned and operated Beeler Plumbing most of his life, serving many families in Schuyler County.  He also enjoyed coaching summer league baseball and usually had a winning team! Charlie was a member of the North Missouri Field Trial Club where he received many awards for placements with his dogs.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Mikel Roberts officiating.  Musical selections of "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Amazing Grace" will be performed by soloist, Bob Welsh and pianist, Twila Anderson.  Honorary pallbearers will be Gary "Bosco" Roberts, Manley Smyser, Gary Cowell, Kevin Western, Tim Penn, Garvin Collins, Dirk Kissel, David Judd, Ronnie Beeler, Pete Gibson, Marvin Miller and Eddie Norman. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.  Memorials have been established for Schuyler County Historical Society.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging on to normanfh.com.  Burial will be in the Arni Memorial Cemetery at a later date as the body has been cremated.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, Missouri.
