Carol Evelyn (Collett) Silverio 73, of Lancaster, Missouri passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
The daughter of Elmo and Eleanor (Clark) Collett, she was born on July 7, 1950 in Ottumwa, Iowa. She was a 1968 graduate of the Ottumwa High School in Ottumwa, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Alan Weeks and to this union three children were born, Shaun, Rhonda and Sabrina. Carol was later married to Victor Paul Silverio on October 4, 1997 in Kirkville, Iowa.
Carol is survived by her husband, Victor of Lancaster, Missouri; her children, Shaun Weeks of Memphis, Missouri, Rhonda Newcomer of Pulaski, Iowa and Sabrina Spurgeon and fiancé, Dale Rockhold of Memphis, Missouri; 8 grandchildren, Chaylee Goodvin and husband, Daniel of Ottumwa, Iowa, Tyler Dieters of Kirksville, Missouri, Kaitlyn Dieters of Kirksville, Missouri, Makayla Fowler of Kahoka, Missouri, Saydrianne Spurgeon of Granger, Missouri, Corbyn Spurgeon of Maryville, Missouri and Zander and Zoie Rockhold of Glenwood, Missouri; 5 great grandchildren, Kreed Goodvin of Ottumwa, Iowa, Azura Rainbolt and Aizlynn Fowler of Kahoka, Missouri, Wendell Ray of Granger, Missouri and soon to be born, Waylon Ray; 2 sisters, Gaye Cullinan of Hedrick, Iowa and Patty of Oregon; nieces, nephews and other family members.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother, Elmo Collett; 1 sister, Colleen; 2 nephews, Clark York and wife Samantha and Billy and 1 niece, Lori and Lorie's daughter.
Carol worked in construction with her husband, Victor for several years and then worked as a janitor in the school in Wellman, Iowa. Carol also attended church at the First Baptist Church in California while living in the area. Carol enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, mushroom hunting, camping, baking and cooking. She adored her fur babies, Gizzy, Freddy and Baby Girl. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
