Carl Edson Tallman

Carl Edson Tallman, 92 of Lancaster, Missouri passed away at the Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, Missouri on Monday, June 09, 2014.

The son of Carl Ennis and Wilma Glorine (Feagins) Tallman, he was born on August 2, 1921 in rural Lancaster, Missouri. On December 19, 1941 in Lancaster, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Beulah Maude Snider and to this union 3 children were born, Nelson, Ann and John.

Survivors include his children, Nelson L. Tallman and wife, Alice of Queen City, Missouri, Ann Trimble and husband, Richard of Victoria, Texas and John C. Tallman and wife, Elizabeth of Mountain Home, Arkansas; 10 grandchildren, Cynthia Tallman, Teresa Tallman Masock and husband, Rick, Jeff Tallman and wife, Laci, Curtis Trimble and wife, Alejandra, Ben Trimble and wife, Lisa, Hannah Tallman Casteel and husband, Johnny, Naomi Tallman, Grace Tallman Robert and husband, Micah, Eli Tallman and Tabitha Tallman; 13 great grandchildren, Ross and Ethan Schmutzler, Natasha and Brittany Valerio, Desiree Valerio Arnold and husband, Matt, Carson, Avery and Kelsey Tallman, Sofia, Lily and Julia Trimble, Katy and Bradley Trimble; 2 great great grandchildren, Ashton and Solara Arnold; many nieces and nephews; other family members; numerous great friends and neighbors throughout the area.

Edson was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Beulah on November 19, 2008 and 1 sister, Charlene Isabell Small on October 14, 2008.

Edson and Beulah were engaged in farming all of their married life in the Bethel neighborhood southwest of Lancaster, Missouri. He was a member of the Lancaster Christian Church in Lancaster, Missouri and attended as long as his health permitted. Edson was a supportive husband for nearly 67 years, a wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather to his family. He loved spending time with his family!

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Sonny Smyser, pastor of the Schuyler County Church of Faith in Lancaster, Missouri officiating. Organist, Maureen Watkins, will perform musical selections of "Amazing Grace" and "When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder". Pallbearers will be Dale Schmutzler, Ethan Schmutzler, Roth Schmutzler, Jeff Tallman, Ben Trimble and Curtis Trimble. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Small, James Small, Dave Hartsock, Forrest Farrell, Wayne Seegmiller, Bryce Tallman, Eddie West, Allen Wilson and Roger Wilson. Visitation will be held at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Memorials have been established for the Schuyler County Nutrition Site and the Schuyler County Nursing Home.
