Betty Jean (Darby) Snowbarger, 87,
of Queen City, Missouri formerly of Lancaster, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at the Schuyler County Nursing Home where she had been a resident since November 2020.
The daughter of George and Audra Pauline (Pottorff) Darby, she was born on November 15, 1935 in rural Lancaster, Missouri. She was a 1953 graduate of Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Missouri. On April 24, 1954 at the Darby Church, northeast of Lancaster, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Max Clifford Snowbarger and to this union three children were born, Patricia Lynn, Ricky and Philip.
Betty is survived by her children, Ricky Snowbarger and wife, Michelle of Locust Grove, Oklahoma and Philip Snowbarger and fiancée, Lori Johnson of Lancaster, Missouri; four grandchildren, Trent Snowbarger and wife, Heidi of Lancaster, Missouri, Sara Blue and husband, Cardea of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, Cody Snowbarger and wife, Jessica of Anchorage, Alaska and Jesse Snowbarger and wife, Alison of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; eight great grandchildren, Kaden and Jalee Snowbarger of Lancaster, Missouri, Brendan, Xavier and Roman Blue of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, Layne Snowbarger of Foyil, Oklahoma, Lukas and Ethan Snowbarger of Anchorage, Alaska; nieces and nephews and other family members.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Max Clifford Snowbarger on June 24, 2014; one daughter, Patricia Lynn Snowbarger on November 12, 1962 and her sister, Martha Jane Hubbartt.
Betty and Max farmed their entire married life on the same farm north of Lancaster, Missouri. Betty was a member of the Darby Christian Church. She was a very kind, caring and thoughtful person and a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri with Brad Drummond of Lancaster, Missouri officiating. Music will be special musical selections of "Jesus, It's Me Again" and "I'll Fly Away". Pallbearers will be Trent Snowbarger, Kaden Snowbarger, Jesse Snowbarger, Kenneth Hubbartt, Jimmy Groseclose and Les Aeschliman. Visitation will be held on August 11, 2023 at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, Missouri between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Memorials have been established for Darby Cemetery. Burial will be in the Darby Cemetery, northeast of Lancaster, Missouri. Online condolences may be expressed to the family by logging on to normanfh.com.
